Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work on complex software development tasks, including design, coding, testing, and debugging. This role involves collaborating with technical teams and providing support for mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in Java/J2EE, B2B development, and be able to work in a hybrid environment.

Position: 6 Months Contract To Hire

Responsibilities:

• Perform technical design, coding, and testing of applications.
• Serve as subject matter expert in both customer and internal discussions related to enhancing existing software systems.
• Develop and analyze interface design documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hardware and software systems standards.
• Conduct software analysis, including requirements, use case development, and design.
• Develop and run automated unit tests, compile, assess, and report data results.
• Implement solutions for enterprise environments, focusing on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Provide direct technical support for critical trouble calls and work with cross-functional teams to develop reliable software.
• Participate in mentoring and development activities for junior engineers.
• Contribute to product scoping, roadmap, and architecture discussions.

Requirement Qualifications:

• 5 years of software development experience.
• Expertise in Java/J2EE and experience in developing Java enterprise applications using Spring, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, AJAX, JSON, SQL, JUnit, Maven.
• Experience with frameworks including Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Integration.
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, JQuery).
• Solid experience with SOAP and REST web services.
• Experience with B2B, EDI, and integration development (SAP IDOC, EDI mapping).
• Experience with Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with DevOps technologies, including Jenkins.

Additional Information:

• Hybrid position in Reston, VA
• Involves both software development and B2B integration tasks.
• Experience in healthcare/HIPAA X12 transactions is a plus.

Candidate Details:
Seeking experienced professionals with a strong background in Java/J2EE, enterprise application development, B2B integration, and troubleshooting in a Unix environment. Familiarity with healthcare transactions and EDI mapping is a plus.
