Overview

The Sr. Automation Architect will lead the design and development of automation frameworks for testing applications. The role focuses on leveraging automation tools and methodologies to streamline testing processes for web applications and APIs within the SSA environment.

Position

The candidate will be responsible for building automation frameworks, guiding technical teams, and ensuring the quality of software through comprehensive testing practices. They will work in an Agile environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide technical expertise in automation tools and practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop Selenium-based automation frameworks for web applications using JUnit/TestNG and Maven.
• Create custom automation frameworks for API testing.
• Lead BDD (Behavior Driven Development) efforts using Cucumber in Gherkin format.
• Collaborate in Agile processes, including scrums, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Implement Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for automation execution.
• Provide hands-on leadership in design, development, and testing.
  
  

Requirement Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8 years of relevant experience in automation and software testing.
• Strong expertise in Selenium, Java, API testing, and building automation frameworks.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jenkins, Maven, and JUnit.
• Proficiency in JavaScript-based technologies (Node.js, Angular.js).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Selenium WebDriver/Selenium Box and Jenkins Auto jobs.
• Familiarity with GitHub, VersionOne, and debugging automation test results.
• Proficiency in Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and Stash/Bitbucket.
