Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Site Reliability Engineer with a focus on Splunk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Splunk administration, performance optimization, observability, automation, and cloud integrations . This role requires an onsite presence 4 days a week to collaborate effectively with development, security, and operations teams.

Position :

Staff Site Reliability Engineer (Splunk)

Responsibilities :

Splunk Administration & Management : Deploy, configure, and manage Splunk Cloud and Splunk Observability Suite .
Monitoring & Observability : Implement and optimize dashboards, alerts, and reports using Splunk APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, and RUM .
Performance Optimization : Fine-tune Splunk queries, reports, dashboards , and indexing strategies for efficiency.
Automation & Integration : Automate Splunk administration tasks using Python, Bash , and integrate with AWS, Azure, GCP .
Collaboration & Support : Work with DevOps, SRE, Security, and Application teams to improve logging and monitoring strategies.
Capacity Planning & Upgrades : Monitor system health , manage log volumes, handle Splunk upgrades and patches .

Required Qualifications :

3 years of hands-on experience in Splunk administration and management .

Expertise in Splunk Cloud, Observability Suite, indexing, parsing, and retention policies .

Experience with governance, guardrails, and cost optimization for cloud-based services.

Strong proficiency in building Splunk dashboards, alerts, and reports .

Ability to fine-tune Splunk queries and optimize data models .

Automation experience using Python, Bash , and integration with AWS, Azure, GCP .

Hands-on cloud experience with Azure AKS, API Management, Redis, Blob Storage, Cosmos DB, and Service Bus .

Ability to troubleshoot performance issues and support production incidents using Splunk insights.

Would Be a Plus :

Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic and Splunk integrations.

Knowledge of Java, TypeScript, or Python for backend and observability.

Understanding of RBAC, authentication policies, and security best practices in monitoring.

Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments .

Certifications : Splunk Certified Admin, Splunk Certified Architect, AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications .

Kubernetes observability experience, managing logs from containerized environments.

Additional Information :

Must be locally present and available for onsite work (4 days a week) .

Strong collaboration skills required to work with cross-functional teams .
