Merchandiser/Van Driver - F/T M-F

The Merchandiser/Van Driver position at DSD Merchandisers is a key, customer-facing position responsible for delivery of products, servicing and maintaining our bulk foods sections in assigned stores. Our bulk products can include dried fruits, nuts, and candy.

The position will have an assigned route and typically begin early in the morning, Monday through Friday, and must be able to get from store to store timely.

DSD Merchandisers is a rapidly growing, dynamic business. The following describes the role’s current responsibilities and will change according to the company’s needs and goals.

Merchandiser Responsibilities:

• Ensure our displays are clean, stocked, and appropriately displayed to maximize sales
• Rotate stock, remove expired or damaged product
• Conduct inventory and place orders
• Plan-o-gram Maintenance
• Move stock from storage to display
• Fulfill 100% of scheduled visits, with photos and forms completed every time in Repsly
• Effectively communicate client information to store personnel
• Report on your work regularly, both via app and in communication to leads/merchandising management
• Improve sales creatively -- adjusting item mix, placements, and presentation to increase potential and attractiveness of your sections in conjunction with store/DSD personnel
• Partner with store managers to provide feedback and ideas to improve customer experience and grow sales.
• Other duties as assigned

Van Driver responsibilities:

• Pre-trip inspection of assigned vehicle
• Packing and loading products into van in a logical manner according to company’s specifications
• Delivery of orders to customers on assigned routes and obtain scans to confirm and complete deliveries with clients
• Unload goods as per client specifications
• Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs
• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicle
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
• Comply with ICC and DOT regulations

• Professional, positive communication in internal and external customers

Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation):

• Ability to walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for entire shift
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. repeatedly
• Ability to drive, you must have a valid California Driver's License, qualify for Company vehicle insurance, and a clean DMV record.
