We have an exciting career opportunity for a Director, Federal Sales to join our growing DSI Tech team! As the Director, Federal Sales you will be a dynamic contributor to the sales team for one of the most successful technology solutions providers in the nation. This is a hybrid role.
The Director, Federal Sales will develop and increase the federal market segment. The successful candidate will manage, lead, and mentor a team of outside and inside sales professionals.

Your Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to prospective and existing customers daily.
- Lead and expand the existing sales department to serve both civilian and DOD federal agencies.
- Plan, organize and direct overall sales program to achieve sales volume and profits consistent with company objectives.
- Ensure that DSI Tech is seen as a key partner in the federal market and work to position DSI Tech favorably in the eyes of customers and our Tier 1 and 2 manufacturers.
- Visit customers as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining the sales pipeline for new business as well as recapturing existing contracts.
- Recommend and execute sales plans, policies, goals and objectives to expand market share in existing markets and capture new markets.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop broad policies for creating new products/services to increase market share.
- Contribute to the development of annual and long-range strategic business plans.
- Contact prospective customers through networking, referrals from current customers, POC listings from advanced RFP postings, and professional organization meetings, conferences and workshops.
What You Need for this Role
- BS degree in Business Administration or a relevant field is required
- 7 years of experience in a sales supervisory or management role in the federal information technology industry.
- 10 years of IT product sales and solution-based selling in the federal VAR space.
- Prior experience selling under NASA SEWP, ESCIII, Air Force NETCENTS, GSA, and other GWAC federal contracts
- In-depth understanding of the sales administration process
- Hand on experience with CRM software and MS Excel
- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Government procurement processes and trends
- Ability to understand and interpret the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills
