A global Manufacturing business with a fantastic reputation is looking to hire a New Director of Operations. The remit of this role includes all Quality, Distribution & Warehousing, Manufacturing, Procurement and Materials management. Reporting to the Executive team this is a position offering both strategic high-level responsibilities with Exces, but also allowing the candidate to get scrappy, stuck in and mentor and coach the wide Supply Chain team around the sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive initiatives to improve profitability, timely production, productivity, via implementing Lean manufacturing and six sigma techniques.
• Oversee the company's Manufacturing, Warehousing, Distribution, Procurement and Materials management processes
• Analyze and monitor financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost optimization.
• Build strategic direction and goals for the Operations & Supply Chain team aligned with best-in-class quality standards expected of company brands
• Establish succession planning programs to build a talent organization through operations leadership and management that aligns with our core behaviors, mission statement, and pillars.
• Review, negotiate and navigate leading supplier relationships to support effective cost negotiation.
• Drive strategic decisions on in-house vs. outsourced production.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• 10 yrs Manufacturing Leadership experience
• Bachelor's degree (ideally in an analytical subject)
• Extensive Multi-Site Plant management experience
• Significant Accomplishments in Cost Savings
• Proven experience in Team Turnaround & Leadership
