This role is critical in maintaining seamless operations and supporting the company's commitment to quality and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective materials management strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste.
Oversee procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating, and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of materials.
Coordinate with production, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules and business objectives.
Monitor and analyze inventory levels, demand forecasts, and lead times to maintain efficient stock control.
Implement and manage inventory tracking systems to improve accuracy and reduce discrepancies.
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure materials meet required specifications and industry standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, cost savings, and sustainability efforts.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Lead and develop a high-performing materials management team through training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
5 years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of industrial equipment manufacturing processes and material requirements.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and inventory management software.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments to drive efficiency and process improvements.
Strong leadership and team management experience.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
APICS, CPIM, or PMP certification is a plus.
