**Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of confectionery and chewing gum. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and propose innovative solutions to improve equipment and processes, resulting in material savings and increased efficiencies.
- Manage vendor relationships, plant personnel, and contractors to ensure timely project completion and maintain accurate technical layouts.
- Identify and implement changes to address safety and health concerns, providing guidance for preventative and repair maintenance.
- Collaborate with equipment vendors and manufacturers on technical specifications, project timelines, budget estimates, and price negotiations.
- Perform technical analysis to determine equipment specifications, capacity limitations, maintenance requirements, part design, and equipment layouts.
- Plan and execute projects within the facility, ensuring safety and food safety standards are met, while completing projects within budget and timeline requirements.
- Evaluate and select equipment suppliers to meet process and packaging needs, providing recommendations for line layouts, operating logic, and capital requirements.
- Pursue continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing processes, technology, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (MBA preferred).
- 4-6 years of demonstrated leadership in a manufacturing environment.
- 3-5 years of experience with Engineering Projects Management or Execution.
- Strong technical skills, including system analysis, design, and process improvement.
- Knowledge of process equipment, including storage, conveying, mixing, extrusion, cooling, and coating processes.
