Purchasing Assistant (Full-Time) - Denham Springs, LA
- Days and hours of work are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
OBJECTIVE
- Administrative functions regarding purchasing all labor and materials in fast paced environment from established trades with accuracy.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- VPO processing (for items not in budget, extras, etc.)
- Base house PO processing for those not auto set (ex: dirt, SWPPP, sod corrections, culverts, scrape, rough, driveways, etc.), email to vendor for signature
- Slab start PO releases, setting budgets
- Frame start PO releases
- Expense purchase order processing
- Option PO releases
- Providing excellent customer service to our field employees in a high volume environment
JOB REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
- Minimum 2 years’ administrative working experience, preferably in a purchasing or accounting environment.
- Proficient in data entry skills, including Excel and Word and 10 key by touch.
- Microsoft Office skills required
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Highly detail oriented and work with quality and speed.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Must be able to multi-task with a high volume of work
- Work effectively in a team and independently
