Responsibilities
- Conduct research, develop prototypes, and run lab machines in the dietary supplement/Pharma/Medical Nutrition lab independently, formulating and optimizing applications such as gummies, stick packs, and tablets to meet taste, texture, and stability requirements.
- Analyze project challenges, propose solutions, and report findings through data collection and evaluation.
- Manage daily lab operations, including equipment calibration, cleanliness, and organization.
- Support application projects and prototype development under the guidance of the Applications Lab Manager.
- Perform routine and non-routine lab tests, analyze results, and coordinate with external labs as needed.
- Ensure compliance with SHE requirements, GMP, GLP, and support requests from Marketing, Sales, and Technical Services.

- A degree in Science or a Technical Discipline (Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Food Science, Chemical Engineering).
- 3 years of experience in formulation work within the Pharmaceutical, Dietary Supplement, or Food Industry.
- Hands-on experience with dosage forms like, gummies, stick packs, tablets, and capsules, plus familiarity with GMP and regulatory requirements. Experience with flavors is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using lab instruments (e.g., hardness tester, pH meter, sieve analysis,). Excellent problem-solving abilities, time management, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- The ability to travel to our Newark, NJ facilities about once per week.
