As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will, help keep the department running efficiently, maintain mechanical components of process equipment, install mechanical components of process equipment, and consult on mechanical components to capital projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Daily repair of all chemical plant process equipment, including, but not limited to; process piping, air piping, nitrogen piping, process pumps, mechanical process monitoring components, air extraction systems, automated compounding machines, and sanitation equipment.
• Dependent on skills, either electrical or mechanical repairs of all plant process equipment and buildings as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. This would include but not limited to solenoid valves, valve limit switches, electric or pneumatic actuated valves.
• Troubleshooting of equipment, as needed, to maintain and keep equipment in operation including rotating machinery pneumatic or electrical driven pumps and mixers.
• Assist other maintenance personnel as needed.
• Repair and rebuild of process equipment. This would include but not limited to Pneumatic diaphragm pumps, rotary pumps, gear pumps and centrifugal pumps. Manual valves (Butterfly & Ball), Pneumatic mixers. Vessel repair and wheel replacement.

You bring

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Requires two years technical school training in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years maintenance experience, preferably in a chemical or food/beverage manufacturing environment with technical experience as a Mechanic. Machinist, electrical, pipe fitter or welding experience would be a plus.
• Ability to be on your feet upwards of 75-85% of a shift
• Ability to climb ladders and flights of stairs up to heights of 2nd to 3rd floor.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
