dSPACE, a leading provider of simulation and validation solutions worldwide, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to drive sales revenue growth within the Aerospace and Defense market segment.
About the Role
This role involves understanding customer needs, developing and closing new business opportunities, and sustaining existing business in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively grow active Aerospace & Defense accounts by identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities
- Develop and implement strategies to capture new customers and expand existing relationships
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customer departments through regular visits and communications
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual booking and sales targets
- Create a travel plan that supports business goals and objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations and achieve company objectives
- Responsible for successfully moving new business from RFQ to shipment for assigned accounts
- Participate in dSPACE marketing activities, including representing the company at tradeshows, conferences, and events
- Provide market feedback to engineering and product development teams to support new product design decisions
Requirements:
- At least 5-7 years of consultative selling experience in the Aerospace and Defense market, with a focus on controls design and software test equipment
- Ability to travel 25% for business development purposes
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- Strong technical skills and ability to discuss product features and applications with customers and engineering team members
- Blend of business, application, customer focus, and technical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge and/or experience in sales of model-based development of embedded software tools a plus
