Position Summary
The Culinary Manager (CM), Executive Chef (EC) and Executive Sous Chef (ESC) are responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including daily delegation, staff development, menu planning, and operational efficiency. These roles require a deep understanding of the entire operation and the ability to balance office tasks with hands-on kitchen responsibilities. The CM, EC and ESC will focus on maintaining high standards for food quality, consistency, safety, and team culture while driving cost management and innovation.

- Effectively assign and monitor task completion to ensure smooth operations.
Comprehensive Operational Understanding
- Maintain indepth knowledge of all kitchen and office functions.
Dual Responsibility
- Successfully manage both officerelated administrative duties and kitchen production tasks.
Responsibilities
Office Tasks
- Delegation of hard tasks and monitoring outcomes.
- Develop and maintain kitchen organization and operational systems.
- Manage purchasing, food costs, and labor costs.
- Oversee staff schedules and prep lists.
- Respond to menu requests and conduct menu costing/pricing.
- Lead menu development, testing, and inventory management.
- Conduct staff coaching, development, and hiring.
- Attend and lead various meetings: large event planning, popups, and final menu reviews.
- Coordinate photo shoot planning and followups on event overviews.
- Engage in daily sales office interactions to ensure alignment.
- Foster a positive and growthoriented kitchen culture
- Recruit, hire, train, retain, and develop culinary team members.
Operational Tasks
- Supervise production and preproduction processes.
- Oversee large event planning and execution.
- Conduct oneonone meetings with sous chefs and key staff to align objectives.
- Enforce physical and food safety standards.
- Support special events and menu planning meetings.
- Implement and maintain operational systems.
Recommended Skills & Abilities

Recommended Experience & Education
- Formal culinary training and demonstrated cooking experience, or equivalent education/experience.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws.
- Expertise in the use and maintenance of major kitchen equipment (e.g., stoves, refrigeration, slicers, knives).
- Proven leadership skills.
