Lab Technician

Job Title: Entry Level Lab Technician

Location: Portland, Maine

Job Type: Part-Time

Work Hours: 5:00 PM onwards/night shift, 20-25 hours per week

Salary: 21-22 dollars per hour

Job Responsibilities

·        Clean and sanitize lab surfaces, equipment, and workstations following strict protocols.

·        Handle and dispose of lab waste, including hazardous and non-hazardous materials, per safety regulations.

·        Refill cleaning supplies and ensure the lab is stocked with essential materials.

·        Conduct routine inspections to maintain a sterile and organized environment.

·        Follow lab safety procedures, including PPE usage and contamination control.

·        Report any issues or safety concerns to the supervisor.

Requirements

·        High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

·        Experience in cleaning, lab maintenance, or a similar role is a plus.

·        Understanding of lab safety procedures or willingness to undergo training.

·        Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail.

·        Reliable and punctual, with the ability to follow structured cleaning schedules.
