Job Summary :
The Scale House Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the scale house operations by working closely with the Weighmaster Operations Manager and Weighmaster team. This position involves overseeing daily operations at the truck weigh scale, answering customer inquiries, quoting prices, processing orders, data entry, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in team collaboration, problem-solving, and administrative tasks, with experience in the waste industry or retail preferred. Exceptional communication, leadership skills, and the ability to streamline workflows are key attributes for success in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist the Scale House Supervisor in managing daily scale operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Communicate regularly with the Scale House team, yard bosses, leadership, and staff to update on schedules, process changes, and customer service improvements.
- Provide backup support as a floater for Weighmaster duties at various locations.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of scale tickets (Quality Assurance).
- Train and support the Weighmaster team, ensuring consistent follow-up and performance improvement.
- Accurately enter data into Encore and CRM systems, maintaining detailed records of operations.
- Prioritize administrative tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and report any operational issues or safety concerns.
- Foster clear and consistent communication with internal teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in operations.
- Travel to remote locations and corporate headquarters as needed for training and operational support.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and maintain reliable attendance.
