DTO Law is seeking a qualified applicant to fill a Sr. Litigation Paralegal role in our busy litigation practice.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Litigation Paralegal who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and thrives in a team-focused setting. The successful candidate will assist attorneys across multiple offices in all phases of litigation, from inception through trial/arbitration and appeal. This position requires minimal supervision, excellent organizational skills, and an advanced understanding of litigation processes in both federal and state courts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Case Management & Coordination

- Coordinate and manage complex litigation matters across multiple jurisdictions (primarily CA and NY federal courts).
- Work closely with attorneys and other paralegals to maintain case calendars (in coordination with the Docketing Clerk), track deadlines, and manage workflows.
- Handle high-volume document organization, including indexing, filing, and maintenance within iManage and SharePoint document libraries.
Discovery & E-Discovery

- Draft, review, and finalize written discovery requests and responses (interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission).
- Collect, organize, and review documents for production, including scanning, labeling, and Bates stamping.
- Upload and manage data in eDiscovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, Logikcull), perform targeted searches, apply redactions, and prepare privilege logs as needed.
- Coordinate with outside vendors for larger-scale document productions and database management.
Pleadings & Court Filings

- Assist attorneys with proofreading and finalizing pleadings, motions, and related court documents in compliance with federal, state, and local rules (e.g., Southern District of New York, Central District of California).
- Assist in cite-checking and applying correct Bluebook formatting to briefs, motions, and other filings.
- Remain up to date with federal and state rules and procedures.
Pre-Trial & Trial Support

- Assist with deposition preparation: draft notices/subpoenas, schedule court reporters, compile and mark exhibits, and coordinate with witnesses and opposing counsel.
- Organize and maintain trial/arbitration binders (exhibits, witness lists, expert designations).
- Coordinate logistics for trials and arbitrations, including managing on-site document needs, witness coordination, and supporting attorneys in real-time trial preparation.
Research & Analysis

- Conduct legal research using Westlaw or similar platforms for case law, statutes, regulations, and procedural rules.
- Compile research findings into concise summaries or reports.
- Monitor changes in procedural rules (federal, state, and local) and keep the team apprised of relevant updates.
Administrative & Team Support

- Collaborate with attorneys to ensure all delegated tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Communicate with clients, external counsel, and internal team members in a professional, clear, and efficient manner.
- Track and record billable time (task-based billing) daily.
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment by sharing knowledge, mentoring junior paralegals, and offering assistance on firm-wide initiatives.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Technology Proficiency:

- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), including the use of Styles, TOC/TOA creation, Compare Docs, and Track Changes.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat (redaction, Bates numbering, document comparison, page organization).
- Familiarity with iManage (Document Management), SharePoint (document libraries), ShareFile, and other file-sharing platforms.
- Proficient in using eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity, Logikcull, or similar tools.
- Experience with PACER, CM/ECF, and other state e-filing systems.
Litigation Knowledge:

- Demonstrated experience with both federal and state court litigation procedures and requirements.
- Familiarity with arbitration forums and processes.
- Skilled in Bluebooking and cite-checking for submissions in federal district courts.
Soft Skills:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with attorneys, clients, and support staff.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and follow-through.
- Capable of working independently under tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated professionalism, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated litigation paralegal experience in a law firm environment.
- Experience coordinating with multiple attorneys and paralegals on large-scale cases.
- Comfort with—and enthusiasm for—learning new software and technological tools as the legal landscape evolves.
Salary:
$110,000 - $130,000 (DOE)
