Job Description
DTRT is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Associate who will report to the Group CFO. The role has primary responsibility for assisting with a portfolio of corporate finance, treasury and business development opportunities across the Company’s global platform. The position requires a high degree of self-motivation, attention to detail and strong financial, written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives and corporate business development opportunities to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to identify and support potential business opportunities, industry trends, and competitive analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of written business plans, financial models, budgets, and forecasts to support the financing and launch of new business opportunities across DTRT’s value chain.
- Support the preparation of board materials, investor presentations, loan applications, quarterly and annual reports, and other business development documents.
- Compile and maintain electronic data rooms for prospective investors in the Company and/or new business development opportunities.
- Support the Group CFO and other team members in onboarding of new customers, suppliers and financing partner(s), including tracking documentation, reviewing legal contracts and managing communications across internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the Group’s executive team in preparing detailed analyses and presentations to drive business growth by pitching and securing new customers and manufacturing programs.
- Support treasury management functions, including tracking customer receivables, monitoring cash receipts, and assisting with cash flow forecasting and reporting.
- Coordinate between finance team and other internal departments to align business development efforts with company budgets, unit production costs and available funding limits.
- Provide analytical support to teammates, management team and other partners as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or economics from a reputable university.
- At least two (2) years’ work experience in the financial services or consulting sectors (preferred).
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial modelling and accounting principles.
- Proficiency with preparing compelling customer and/or investor-facing presentations
- Ability to work with cross-cultural teams across various professional disciplines.
- Strong writing skills and full proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and electronic research tools.
- An interest in manufacturing, international development and/or Africa is a plus.
