JOB TITLE: Billing Coordinator

SUMMARY: Provides billing coordination for a Billing Partner within the firm.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Audit, edit, and prepare paper and e-billing files in a timely manner for Billing Partner
- Create and prepare intricate invoice layouts reflecting the fixed fees/flat fees negotiated, payments received and applicable write-offs applied.
- Identify time entries and costs that may be on an incorrect matter for Manager review.
- Pull expense backup from several different firm systems to include with the invoice to the client/insurance company.
- Manage the execution of the e-billing process.
- Analyze e-billing errors and resolve for re-submission.
- Execute client and insurance e-billing/billing guidelines for compliance with time entries and billing processes.
- Review of several thousand time entries on every matter to ensure compliance with client and insurance requirements
- Apply unallocated payments to invoices at directed by the Manager.
- Execute the terms expressed in the client engagement letters accordingly.
- Creation of intricate erosion charts for insured clients
- Prepare reports for Billing Partner containing MTD billing, collection, aged and WIP totals.
- Code client/matters according to e-billing/billing guideline requirements.
- Submit accruals, appeals, budgets, rates and status requests using firm ebilling vendor software for e-billed clients.
- Analyze timekeeper rates for accuracy.
- Communicate with timekeepers regarding missing client required details in their time entry narratives.
- Maintain correct address and contact information for invoices in the billing system.
- Ability to work independently and as a Team Player.
- Must have strong proof reading skills.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Must possess strong analytical skills.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have excellent organization skills.
- Must be able to prioritize effectively.
- Must be proficient in basic Microsoft Office.
- Must have expert knowledge in excel for report creation.
- Position is fully remote.
