Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Body Shop Parts Counter to join our team at Dublin Chevrolet Cadillac. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the parts sales process from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize the parts department computer system to manage inventory and orders.
- Communicate with customers regarding parts status and provide price quotes.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with staff and customers.
- Read and understand the parts catalog to locate correct parts.
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries.
- Review body shop estimates to ensure accuracy of parts ordered and pricing.
- Pull and fill orders from stock in a timely manner.
- Perform weekly bin checks to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or materials requiring immediate attention.
- Locate out-of-stock parts from external sources and submit emergency orders if necessary.
- Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
- Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
