Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing credit card payments.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards to ensure the health and safety of our customers.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Promote café products through upselling techniques to enhance customer experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in a café or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills are essential for cash handling and making change accurately.
- Familiarity with food safety practices is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is advantageous but can be learned on the job.
