Today, our portfolio features some of North America’s most revered wineries, including Decoy, Paraduxx, Goldeneye, Migration, Canvasback, Calera, Kosta Browne, Greenwing and Postmark.
Our passionate and dedicated cellar team at Sonoma Cutrer is looking for a Cellar Worker III to join the team. This position will be a key member of a small, unified wine production team. This role will perform all cellar duties as assigned by and under the supervision of the Assistant Winemaker and assist with cellar organization, cleanliness, and communication in all phases of the wine production process.
What we will ask you to do:
- Follows safety rules at all times; includes the use of personal protective equipment.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment and clean break area at all times.
- Reports any unsafe conditions immediately.
- Reports any equipment problems to supervisors immediately.
- Reads, understands, and follows SOPs.
- Possesses working knowledge of chemicals and their appropriate usage.
- Demonstrates knowledge of sanitation practices.
- Inspect and sanitizes tanks, barrels, pumps, hoses, fittings, and other winery equipment.
- Prepares and makes various additions to juice and wine, in tank and barrel.
- Exemplifies cooperation within cellar team and across departments.
What you will need:
- 4 years minimum cellar experience required, including 3 years of forklift experience.
- Positive attitude and ability to work in harmony with others.
- Must be a team player, be open to suggestions and able to collaborate with others.
- Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate reading, writing, and math skills.
- Spanish communication skills a plus.
- Must be flexible with work schedule to allow weekends and evenings as needed during harvest season; occasional evenings outside of harvest.
- Must be able to work in a busy environment that may include heavy equipment and forklift activity, multiple conversations, and music
