Our passionate and dedicated team at Sonoma Cutrer is looking for a Wine Planning Manager to join the team. The Wine Planning Manager is responsible for planning and managing the day-to-day tasks required to produce high quality wines from grape to bottle. They will function in a supporting role, working as a liaison between the Winemaking and Production teams. They will assist in ensuring wine style, data analysis, and quality improvements.
What we will ask you to do:
- Works as a liaison between winemaking and production teams to ensure winemaking priorities and cellar efficiency are met, understanding the winemaking schedule and putting it into action with the cellar team.
- Works closely with the cellar so its timelines are being met and readjust cellar priorities based on winemaking plan.
- Prepares and submits reports for regulatory review. Leads work order writing, prepares 702 reporting and overall ensures sound information in our database.
- Reviews completed work orders before they are passed on to database entry personnel.
- Manages direct report; monitors employee performance, delivers feedback, conducts 1:1 conversations, and handles disciplinary actions.
- Provides support and guidance for all team members within the winemaking, cellar, and lab departments at Sonoma-Cutrer Winery.
- Ensures SOPs are being followed and constantly improved, considering sustainability, quality, and efficiency ramifications.
- Leads winery sustainability audits, metrics, and label/logo use.
- Prepares and submits barrel paperwork. Ensures all payments are on time and finance has all the information they need.
- Helps ensure systems are appropriately rigorous for reducing risk and guaranteeing desired outcomes.
- Collaborates cross-departmentally with Facilities & Maintenance, QC/QA, and Production teams to achieve company goals.
- Participates in planning meetings and attends other meetings as necessary.

What you will need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Recommend a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a winemaking role.
- Bachelor of Science in Enology, Food Science or Chemistry.
- Management background with demonstrated effectiveness in coaching and developing teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
- Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
- Positive attitude.
- English/Spanish bilingual a highly recommended.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.

- The annual salary pay range for this position is $77,000.00-$98,250.00
