Job Summary
Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Inc. has immediate job opening for a reliable class "A" commercial driver with safe driving records to operate lowboy semi-tractor / trailer, and safely transport heavy machinery and materials as needed at various job sites. Candidate needs to be dependable, punctual, hardworking; responsible for inspecting, maintaining trucks, and assisting crew in construction / production activities. Physical labor and / or operating heavy equipment is a requirement of this position.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate the semi-tractor / trailer / forklift / tractor(s).
- Routinely check the truck tries for wear and make sure tires have enough air pressure, front and rear lights, fire extinguishers, and the body of the truck for any damage or wear.
- Report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Communicate with Production manager as needed daily and even hourly to get updated information and changes in delivery instructions.
- Check the equipment being moved and report any findings.
- Perform other duties when truck work is not available.
- Conduct a daily truck inspection.
- Report any unsafe act or unsafe condition to supervisor.
- Follow all safety work practices by following safety rules and regulations.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Must use all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Must be able to work without directions and stay productive.
- Must be able to work weekends.
- Must be able to work overtime when requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
