What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Industry Management Intern Human Resources position at Duininck?
As a Human Resources Intern, you will work closely with our HR team to support various aspects of human resource management in the ready-mix concrete industry. This internship is designed to provide exposure to recruitment processes, employee relations, HR compliance, and other critical functions within HR. The ideal candidate will have a passion for HR, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
Responsible For:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
- Employee Relations:
- Handle day-to-day employee inquiries and assist in resolving HR-related issues.
- Contribute to the maintenance of positive employee relations through effective communication and support.
- HR Compliance:
- Assist in maintaining HR records and ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Training and Development:
- Assist in coordinating training sessions and development programs for employees.
- Contribute to the identification of training needs and the creation of relevant programs.
- HR Projects:
- Participate in HR projects as assigned, providing research and administrative support.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the HR department.
What we are looking for:
- Current college level student with major in Concrete Industry Management Program
- Familiarity with all commonly used computer software (MS OfficeSuite, etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
