Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Safely operates paver and screed to achieve the specified paving width, depth and grade.
• Works closely with foreman and other crew members such as dump person, distributor, and roller operators to coordinate work and ensure safety.
• Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that paver is in safe, proper working order including fluid checks and proper lubrication. Performs maintenance and smaller repairs as needed.
• Reports to shop when equipment needs additional maintenance and repair.
• Keeps equipment clean and prepares equipment for transport on flatbed when needed.
• Maintains orderliness, cleanliness and safety at jobsite.
• Follows Supervisor's instructions closely.

• Understand and adhere to all safety regulations.
• Understand and adhere to the Personal Protection Equipment requirements.
• An unwavering focus on safety.
• OSHA.
• Willingness to travel throughout West Texas.
• Ability to speak and communicate in English is required.
  
  

Work Environment/Physical Demands

• Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly work extended | overtime hours, outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions at all project locations.
• Travel is required.
