Responsibilities
Entry-Level Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for procedures, including setting up equipment and sterile supplies.
- Pass instruments to surgeons during procedures, maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with nurses and other medical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients and families.
Experienced Responsibilities
- Teach new staff members and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Apply advanced knowledge of anatomy and surgical techniques to complex cases.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and expertise in all interactions.
Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or certification (NCCT or NBSTSA).
- Or, provides evidence of successful completion of an appropriate training program for Surgical Technology in the United States Military.
Requirements
