Job Summary:
We are seeking a Clinical Nurse in our Regional Pediatrics Clinica in South Durham clinic to be an integral member of the healthcare team and Independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures. With supervision from the Nurse Manager, the nurse will triage patients both in office and by phone. Educate patients and parents on disease management and medications. Implement treatments and care based on Physicians orders.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assessment, intake, record patient data and age appropriate screenings per protocol.
- Administer medications and immunizations.
- Lab testing per protocol and by physician order.
- Telephone triage/assessment and documentation.
- Manage NCIR and vaccine supplies and reports.
- Lead Nurse responsibilities (staff scheduling, resource nurse staff, head a committee).
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Job Eligibility Requirements:

Work requires graduation from an accredited Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
Exception: Registered nurses hired before July 1, 2014 are not required to enroll in a BSN program to remain in this job classification.

All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) are encouraged to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date but must complete the BSN program within seven years of their start date.

Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience is required. At a manager's discretion, employees with 6 months of experience who are exceptional performers may be eligible for this level.
- Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
- BLS required.
Job Schedule:
The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends and holidays.
