The Director of Real Estate will serve as Duly’s primary real estate point of contact to focusing on alignment between business objectives, real estate solutions, and execution of those solutions from strategic vision to seeing patients. This role provides strategic real estate support, manages real estate portfolio and oversees project delivery for projects >$1M in spend, including build to suits, renovations, and expansions. The Director of Real Estate will establish process and structures to drive a cohesive approach to portfolio management.
- Act as business liaison to understand business objectives and translate into real estate plans, actions, and solutions
- Coordinate portfolio project activity and support real estate management solutions
- Partner with VP of Strategy and operational leadership to plan on real estate strategy.
- In partnership with VP of Strategy, oversee all lease negotiations, renewals, and contract administration for all landlord relationships.
- Partner with outside real estate counsel on related issues and provide guidance where possible for deals
- Serve as primary point of contact with real estate brokers for Duly
- Partner with VP of Strategy and clinical operations leaders to proactive plan CapEx needs for portfolio
- Maintain accountability to real estate operations budget and conduct real estate related analyses
- Provide full project management leadership for large real estate related projects (e.g., $1m )
- Serve as Duly real estate leader for all build to suits, facilities expansions, and renovations
- Collaborate effectively with Real Estate, Facilities, Finance, Operations, Legal and assigned business and finance leaders
- Establish solid understanding of market trends in the healthcare real estate field and keep up to date on current events related to medical office buildings and locations
- Support the development and management of portfolio plans for assigned business. Set meeting agendas and successfully support fact-based decision process
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
- Manage a team of 3 dedicated to real esate portfolio and project management.
- 10 years of experience in general buisness management, real estate, or healthcare.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and provide fact-based decision support
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, and proven experience interacting with executive-level customers
- Experience being flexible and creative thinking and problem-solving ability
- Demonstrated strong financial analysis skills
- Proven ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations
- Demonstrated experience being an effective contributor to cross-functional teams
- Experience delivering results through best practices and consistent service delivery
- Experience with project management, developing and presenting deliverables to C-suite executives, and analytics
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Client relationship management experience
- Demonstrated ability to support large, multi-site initiatives/programs
The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $125K-$188K, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
