We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to lead and manage all HR functions at our steel door frame manufacturing plant in Dothan, AL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with all labor laws and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process.
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Design and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and productivity.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs.
- Foster a positive workplace culture and promote employee engagement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback to employees.
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Lead an HR department staff of two.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of HR management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
