Job Title: Nursing Assistant
Location: 2 Hours from Boston, MA

Position Overview:
As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering basic nursing and restorative care in accordance with the facility’s policies and procedures. Under the supervision of LPNs and RNs, you will assist residents with daily activities and ensure their comfort and well-being. This role involves both hands-on patient care and supporting the overall safety and hygiene of residents in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Care: Assist residents with daily personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and administering skin care treatments as per the Resident Care Plan.
- Mobility Support: Aid residents with ambulation, range of motion exercises, turning, positioning, and transfers. Provide support during meals and assist with feeding, hydration, and bodily functions including toileting, bowel/bladder training, and calorie counting.
- Resident Safety: Ensure a safe environment for both residents and staff by following emergency protocols, such as reacting to fire drills, managing wandering residents, and responding to falls. Always safeguard residents’ rights and safety.
- Communication: Attend reports before starting shifts and inform licensed personnel of any significant observations regarding resident care, environmental conditions, or supply/equipment needs.
- Care Plan Adherence: Familiarize yourself with Resident Care Plans to provide consistent care in compliance with nursing standards and facility procedures. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of all residents.
- Infection Control: Apply infection control protocols consistently and respect the spiritual and cultural beliefs of residents. Encourage resident participation in care according to their functional abilities.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 1 year of current experience in a nursing assistant role. Prior travel experience is highly preferred, as well as experience in rural or small facility settings.
- Vaccination: Covid-19 Vaccination series required for this assignment. Please upload proof of vaccination with your application. Declinations or exemptions will not be accepted by this client.
- Flexibility: Must be willing to float between departments and assist wherever needed.
- Licensing: Must have an active New Hampshire nursing license at the time of submission. The facility will not accept pending licenses.
- BLS Certification: Current BLS (AHA) certification required.
Shift Requirements:
- Must be willing to work during the Labor Day holiday, including the weekend before if scheduled. RTO (requested time off) during this holiday will not be approved.
Location Details:
- The assignment is located 2 hours from Boston, MA.
- Travelers within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered for this position. Please include your permanent address when uploading your profile to avoid delays.
RTO Guidelines:
- Requested time off (RTO) during the assignment must be included and verified at the time of profile upload. No RTO requests will be approved after submission.
- No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted during the course of this assignment. Less RTO is preferred.
