As a veterinary Client Service Representative, you'd be responsible for a wide variety of tasks including (but not limited to):

  • handling a high volume of calls throughout the day
  • appointment scheduling & confirmation
  • taking prescription requests in person/over the phone/via fax
  • updating electronic patient records & attaching records/images
  • checking in/out patients and processing payments at check-out
  • interacting with doctors and technicians to respond to client questions
  • helping educate owners about available products and services.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week

Application Question(s):

  • This position includes an every-other-weekend shift that includes both Saturday and Sunday. Are you willing to work every other weekend?
  • Have you thought about the ability to handle the "lows" that come with working in this field? Although a majority of our patients are happy & healthy, dealing with emergencies and loss can be a daily part of the job. Do you feel you would be able to manage the highs and lows that come with a customer service position in veterinary care?
  • We have three hospital locations (Dundee, Elgin, and Algonquin) and your regular schedule may include shifts at more than one location. Are you comfortable with working at/commuting to multiple locations?
  • Since our Dundee location is a 24/7 emergency hospital, our doctors and support staff are required to work at least 1-2 holiday shifts (including potentially Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and/or New Year's Day. Would that be an issue for you?
  • What is your desired hourly pay rate?
