As a Production Supervisor at Dundee Manufacturing Company, you will be responsible for overseeing the production department within our metal forming manufacturing facility. Your role will require strong leadership qualities, a focus ensuring on-time delivery, upholding safety, quality standards, and managing people growth.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Departmental Oversight:
- Manage and lead production team members consisting of Press operators and packers.
- Manage and maintain production culture in alignment with DMC values
- Develop and implement departmental strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity.
2. Leadership and Team Development:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to all team members
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
3. On-Time Delivery:
- Develop and maintain production manning needs to meet customer delivery commitments.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to optimize process(s) with equipment, process(s) and manning to meet customer demands.
4. Safety and Quality Standards:
- Ensure a safe working environment by leading and support safety culture and compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Uphold and improve product quality standards through regular inspections and process improvements.
5. Project Management:
- Lead and coordinate various projects within the manufacturing facility.
- Support all production related projects to meet end goals
- Track KPI’s for production team (ex: OEE, incidents, evaluations, etc.)
6. Cost Control:
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement cost-effective measures
7. Continuous Improvement:
- Lead continuous improvement efforts through your team that improve the production process.
- Identify and implement process enhancements and best practices.
8. Reporting and Communication: -
- Provide daily analysis of PLEX reports to be communication to operations leader and plant manager.
- Collaborate with other departments to align goals and expectations.
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in production supervision a manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards or experience with quality management systems.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred:
- At least 5 years of manufacturing experience
- Previous ISO-9000 or related experience
- Knowledge of PLEX System
- Management courses or equivalent experience
- Lean Manufacturing
