What You’ll Do
As a Lifeguard, you’ll:
- Ensure the safety of all pool guests by enforcing rules and responding swiftly to emergencies.
- Build relationships with guests and provide a welcoming, friendly environment.
- Maintain a clean and safe facility, including pool decks, locker rooms, and surrounding areas.
- Implement StarGuard procedures with precision when needed.
- Support the Pool Management team with additional duties and responsibilities.
- Represent the Dundee Township Park District’s Mission by delivering excellent community service and creating positive experiences for all.
Who You Are
You’re a proactive team player with:
- A passion for water safety and community engagement.
- The ability to stay calm, think quickly, and make sound decisions in emergencies.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to punctuality and attendance.
- The physical ability to swim 200 yards, tread water for 2 minutes, and retrieve a 10-lb brick from a 12-ft depth.
- A knack for problem solving and attention to detail.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A minimum age of 15 years old. (work permit required if under 16 years of age)
Schedule
- Work hours vary between 9:00 AM and 10:00 PM, Sunday through Saturday.
- A set schedule will be provided, but expect weekend, holiday, and extended hours as needed.
- This is a seasonal summer position—perfect for students and anyone looking for a fun, active summer job!
