Position Overview:
As a Landscape Crew Lead, you’ll lead a team to deliver high-quality landscaping projects—from lawn care to hardscape installations – ensuring safety, efficiency, and excellence. Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of landscapers, fostering an environment of collaboration and growth. Assign tasks and provide guidance to team members, helping them develop their skills and leadership potential.
- Project Oversight: Oversee landscaping projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to our highest standards.
- Safety, Quality and Efficiency: Ensure the team follows safety protocols while performing tasks like mowing, trimming, mulching, and pruning. Oversee daily operations to uphold top-quality standards while driving continuous improvements in workflow and techniques to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Client Interaction: Represent the company with professionalism, ensuring client needs are met and their expectations are exceeded. Communicate effectively, addressing concerns promptly and escalating them to management as needed.
- Training & Skill Development: Lead by example and offer on-the-job training to enhance the skills of your team. Encourage a growth mindset, helping individuals expand their knowledge of new landscaping techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Landscaping or horticulture certification a plus).
- Experience: At least 2-5 years of professional landscaping experience, including supervisory roles. Proficient in operating commercial-grade landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers).
- Leadership Experience: Proven leadership with strong problem-solving, team management, and communication skills. Ability to motivate and inspire, with a growth mindset focused on personal and team development.
- Physical Fitness: Passion for outdoor work, able to perform manual labor, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver’s License: Must have a clean driving record for operating company vehicles and driving the team to job sites.
