Job Description:
Houseman are responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards in housekeeping closets, hallways and common areas. They stock closets and Room Attendants carts with supplies daily to ensure they have what they need to complete their jobs. They are also responsible for reporting any maintenance or safety issues found while they are working.
Job Duties:
- Stocking housekeeping closets and carts daily.
- Delivering items to guests, room attendants and supervisors as needed.
- Maintaining clean and orderly housekeeping closets.
- Daily vacuuming of floors and cleaning of halls.
- Sorting, counting, weighing and logging weights for linen.
· Secure assigned keys and radios daily and return them at the end of each shift.
· Timely follow up on additional requests from management and work with other departments as a team to ensure all standards are maintained.
Job Requirements:
· This position is 100% work on guest floors.
· Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
· Minimum of 6 months of housekeeping experience preferred.
· Other duties not listed may be required.
