Job Summary:
Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing Engineer to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and implement lean methodologies in our chiller production processes. Responsible for identifying inefficiencies, implementing process improvements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role requires a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce waste.
- Analyze production workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) improvements.
- Work with ME/IE in developing and implementing Standard Work Procedures (SWP) to ensure consistency and repeatability.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve overall operational performance.
- Use data-driven decision-making to monitor and enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) like OTD, cycle time, and defect rates.
- Train and coach employees on Lean Manufacturing principles to create a continuous improvement culture.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for process deviations and quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Drive cost reduction projects while maintaining or improving quality and efficiency.
- 3-7 years of experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or a related role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), 5S, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
- Experience with root cause analysis (RCA), FMEA, and problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC).
- Excellent communication and training abilities.
- Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or chiller manufacturing is a plus.
