PKI Team Leader (Hybrid)
This position is a Hybrid job opportunity in Germantown, MD to support the Department of Energy!
- Manage staff including supervision, assigning work, professional development, performance evaluation, recruitment, and coaching/mentoring,
- Provide coaching, constructive feedback and direction to staff to ensure successful achievement of projects and initiatives.
- Monitor staff workloads to assist in resource allocation and ensure deliverable dates are met.
- Develop procedures and guidelines to support consistent delivery of PKI, PIV, CAC card support services.
- Oversee the deployment, integration, and configuration of all new security solutions and of any enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with industry-leading practices generically and the enterprise's security documents specifically.
- Ensures adequate and effective technical and non-technical controls exist to meet current and future security compliance requirements found in local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Identify/recommend tools, processes, software, and hardware to improve or replace current security infrastructure practices, services, or technologies to meet future requirements.
- In this role you will provide hands on practical experience to design, implement, and support both the technical and managerial aspects of cloud enterprise computing environments.
Qualification, Skills, and Experience Requirements:
- PKI experience. Especially with YubiKey and RSA.
- Solid understanding of provisioning tokens with certs and provide Tier III Level Support.
- Experienced in leading diversified team supporting an organization in the deployment and support of the CAC/PKI environment.
- Experience in collecting, analyzing, and reporting CAC/PKI metrics and status.
- Sustaining engineering expertise in applications and technologies comprising Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
- Operational experience in Active Directory, ActivClient, Entrust Hardware Security Module (HSM), Entrust, Microsoft Entra, RSA, and Certificate Authority (CA) and smart card enablement.
- Operational experience of CAC/PKI technologies, CAC enabled Active Directory domains, and virtualization technology.
- Operational experience on Smart Tokens, PKI, Certificate Revocation, CAC Pin Reset, Biometrics, Logical and Physical access, authentication, and directory services.
- Extensive experience in applications comprising the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Key Management Infrastructure.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Assurance, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5 years' experience in cyber security initiatives which may include some or a combination of roles in IT Security, cyber security, risk, compliance, audit, threat detection, data privacy, etc.
- Experience managing a team and/or coaching team members.
