Job Overview: The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the shipper teams to ensure efficient and accurate processing of all outbound orders. This role oversees daily operations, ensuring all shipments are processed on time and all routes are properly closed and reconciled at the end of each day. The supervisor drives productivity, maintains quality standards, and ensures compliance with company procedures and shipping requirements.
Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership and Management:

Orally or by writing, provide guidelines and training to employees on how to route the EDI and truck orders correctly.

Along with the Manager and/or Human Resources, manage disciplinary actions and work with sensitive/confidential information.

Assist with the completion of a new project. Perform all responsibilities of the shipping department positions to support the completion of daily tasks.
2. Communication and Collaboration:

Maintain open communication with other warehouse departments to ensure a seamless workflow.

Collaborate with other supervisors and managers to address cross-functional challenges and achieve common goals.
3. Team Support and Conflict Management:

Foster a positive and inclusive work environment where team members feel valued and respected.

Provide guidance, coaching, and support to help team members achieve their goals and develop professionally.

Address conflicts and challenging situations promptly, using effective problem-solving and mediation techniques to reach fair resolutions.

4. Quality and Accuracy:

Ensure smooth order flow through WMS system (SCALE) each day.

Manage expectations for EDI customers adhering to specific vendor guide and routing instructions each week.

Prioritize expedites requests from internal customers (CX, Marketing, Promotions).

Responsible for processing all international orders with proper documentation.
5. Health and Safety:
-
Confirm that equipment and materials are used correctly. Report and/or rectify potentially unsafe conditions.

Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.

Practice housekeeping inside the warehouse by following the 5S standards.

Ensure the organization and cleanliness of storage areas, adhering to safety and compliance standards.

At the end of the day, ensure that floor fans are turned off, and dock doors are locked and place the alarm when needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
- 5 years of supervisor experience in warehouse operations (shipping and receiving).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Have a working knowledge of Oracle ERP (E1), WMS systems (SCALE), and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook)
- Proficient Math Skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices within a warehouse environment.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Must be reliable and have excellent attendance.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Certifications of stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
- When needed, an employee must be able to perform the following physical requirements: Stand for a period of 3-5 hrs. and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must frequently walk, bend, pull, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to sit 55 % of the day and talk or listen. The employee must be able to lift 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Depth perception, and Ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
