Description : The Sr. Leave and Benefits Representative is an expert in his / her field and is responsible for the ongoing administration and management of Dunn-Edwards' leaves of absence, and benefits administration.
He / she is responsible for ensuring that all leaves are managed, and benefits administered, in alignment with applicable local, state and Federal legal and regulatory requirements and Company policies. He / she operates as a valued business partner and trusted resource - providing the highest level of performance and professional service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manage leaves of absence (FMLA, PDL, PLOA, CFRA, Military, Bereavement, Extended LOA and Paid Family Leave, etc.) in accordance with federal, state and local laws, as well as company policy.
- Review third party administrator's communication and interaction with employees throughout leave process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct interactive process with employees, and in partnership with Dunn-Edwards management in all departments.
- Manage modified duty and return to work process (FMLA and LOA modified duty letters, communication and documentation with employees and physicians).
- Monitor, manage and ensure accurate employee hours recorded and tracked in HCM system.
- Determine benefit eligibility in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements and Company policies
- Monitor government regulations and industry best practices to ensure that policies and management practices are both current and legal and advise senior management as necessary.
- Work with appropriate parties to complete required filings in a timely manner.
- Resolve employee questions and problems by interpreting both leave and benefit policies and procedures.
- Assist with updating enrollments, processing billings for premiums and other benefits administration activities as needed.
- Sets the example for providing exceptional service to both internal and external customers (other departments and employees respectively).
- Displays expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Displays strong ability to relate to all levels within the organization from hourly employees to Executives.
- Displays strong ability to operate in a highly dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Possesses and regularly displays exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
