What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Services Representative - New Service Coordinator position at Dunn Energy Cooperative?
Due to a recent internal promotion, Dunn Energy Cooperative is seeking a full time Member Services Representative – New Service Coordinator. This position requires a person that has a positive customer-centric attitude that will represent the Cooperative in the promotion of Cooperative services and programs to members. This individual must have the ability to deal with a variety of people in difficult situations; good planning skills; and be able to recognize, understand and resolve problems. This position also requires proficiency in written and oral communication and organization. They must provide maximum service to the membership by rendering prompt, efficient and courteous service that will promote goodwill between the Cooperative and its members.
This position will be the primary contact for all new electrical service installations and as such must be comfortable using electronic mapping, processing permits and paperwork to outside institutions (i.e., County or State offices, Register of Deeds, etc.) and working closely with new members to make sure the construction process runs smoothly. They will be responsible for scheduling appointments, organizing records, and responding promptly to member requests.
This person must be proficient in the use of computers and have the ability to learn internal computer programs.
Other duties include:
-Handle inbound calls, exercise independent judgment to help address member issues, and work in emergency situations with speed and accuracy.
-Receive incoming calls concerning power outages and enter outage details with all pertinent information the line crews need to find and restore outages safely.
-Receive calls concerning general information questions. Provide correct information to co-op members by following written policies and procedures.
-Escalate issues to the proper level of authority by notifying on-duty supervisor of any incidents requiring immediate attention or follow-up action.
-Resolve members’ billing and disconnect for non-payment issues by performing activities such as making arrangements for payment according to procedures, and reconnecting service.
-Ability to multi-task efficiently between phone, keyboard and multiple computer programs and screens to access and communicate customer information. Basic mathematical computation skills required. Understand/interpret oral and written instructions. Must be able to work with individuals of various personality traits in a close working environment.
-Ability to effectively use equipment such as, but not limited to, personal and laptop computers, Microsoft Office products, and standard multiline phone systems.
Hours: 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday, with the occasional opportunity for work outside those hours.

Pay: Negotiable based on experience
