Operations Coordinator

Purpose 

  Supports the overall operations and Human Resources functions within the Wiggins mill.

Operations Support

• Assist with tasks delegated by mill manager to support operations team, with focus on Human Resources support (with dotted line to mill HR Manager).

HR Support

• Weekly review of hourly time (includes going through employee time records, updating and making documented changes)
• Maintain and reconcile hourly time off/away tracker (vacation, personal)
• Assist with HR Duties (helping with hourly employee changes, recruiting, on- boarding, etc…) 
• Safety Committee participant
• Support HR with administrative requests (personnel files /compliance / benefits)
• Coordinate lunches/meetings as required
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications  (technical/professional skills, expertise and qualifications)

• Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years supporting human resources as assistant or in entry-level role
• Experience in industrial union environment a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Enjoys fostering good relationships
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Prior experience using ADP Workforce Now and Time & Attendance, a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Excel)

• Office setting with occasional exposure to paper machine, converting, shipping and warehousing areas.  
• Potential hazards include exposure to production equipment, high noise areas and heat and humidity.
