Dunnellon Podiatry Center is seeking a dedicated and versatile Office/Medical Assistant to join our small, close-knit team. Cross-training is essential, as we value adaptability and teamwork in our office.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist during patient examinations and procedures.
· Perform routine patient care tasks such as rooming patients, preparing rooms for patients, cleaning wounds, and dressing changes, strappings, setting up procedures. Hands on training provided.
· Prepare and sterilize medical instruments.
· Schedule and confirm appointments.
· Handle administrative duties as needed such as patient intake and insurance verification, and handling medical records requests.
· Manage and maintain patient records accurately.
· Educate patients on treatment plans and post-care instructions.
· Study for and pass x-ray certification.
· Maintain medical and office supply inventory
· Place orders with venders for office and medical supplies
· Dispense DME items
· The existing staff and Dr. Witfill will train as needed for all duties and encourage a collaborative mindset.
· All duties as assigned to run a small medical practice including periodic projects and implementation of new protocols or required tasks. Collaborate and help with billing as needed.

Requirements:
· Medical office experience is required. Exceptions would be considered for candidates with outstanding past work experience or higher levels of education and a willingness to achieve as well as a strong desire to enter the medical office setting.
· Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
· Hardworking, ethical, empathetic traits. Interest and willingness to learn the etiology and treatment options of foot, ankle, and leg conditions. Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to contribute to all tasks needed to efficiently and compassionately take care of patients including front office duties.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a small team environment. The ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
Compensation and Benefits:
· Hourly rate: $16-18.50 based on experience and education.

Working Hours:
· Monday through Thursday: 8:15 AM to 5:00-6:00 PM
· Friday: varies 8:15 to 1 pm or 8:15 to 4 pm
