Job Summary:
Dunton Hot Springs is a Relais & Chateaux all-inclusive resort nestled deep in the San Juan Mountains. We are looking to hire an inspired full-time Guest Services Agent. The Guest Service Agents are responsible for assisting Dunton guests with pre-arrival logistics and play an integral role in ensuring guests have exceptional experiences during their stay.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure the smooth function of the Guest Services area, which includes interdepartmental communication
· Assists in curating guest reservations, activity planning before and during stay, transportation, check in and out, and direct follow up to ensure the highest possible guest satisfaction
· Establishing and maintaining attentive, courteous and efficient hospitality values in the Guest Services department, bringing guests total satisfaction
· Ensures Guest Service area is kept clean and presentable
· Monitors and assigns maintenance of the Gift Shop inventory
· Maintains a standard of personal appearance, hygiene, grooming and dress code
· Maximize resort revenues by ensuring all charges (spa, activities, transfers, retail, etc.) are properly recorded
· Create personal itineraries using AXUS computer system
· Able to answer questions regarding Dunton properties past, present and future
· Liaison between Reservations and other Dunton properties
· Conduct any other duties as assigned or as needed regarding Guest Service operations
· Interface actively with guests to ensure all wants and needs are met
· Ensure the accurate distribution of guest amenities and room conditions by collaborating with Housekeeping and Front of House
· Answering and directing incoming phone calls
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
· Minimum of a High School, vocational, or equivalency degree
· At least 2 years previous experience in hospitality, preferably a similar area.
· Must be able to anticipate and proactively deal with problems and find resolutions
· Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
· Must be able to read and write fluent English
· Computer skills are a must, experience in WebRezPro and Google Drive are preferred, as well as ability to learn new software
· Able to maintain flexibility with work schedule as business activity demands- with sincere reliability- including being available to open or close the property, and work weekends/holiday periods
Job Specifications:
· Tasks often conducted in a physical, fast-paced environment with ever-changing demands
· In conducting/supervising Front of House duties, frequent reaching, bending, and stooping with constant walking/moving around.
· Occasional travel and transporting of materials between work areas - even under inclement weather
· Regularly pushing, lifting, and carrying of 10 to 15 pounds; occasional lifting up to 40 pounds
Lateral Service:
It is required that all employees help as needed, where needed and until such need has been satisfied and the guest(s) has/have been provided the finest personal service possible.
