The DuPage County Health Department is looking for a new team member at our Naperville Group Home to work as an on-site Lead Case Manager. Working in this position, you will have the opportunity to provide life-changing assistance to adult clients, who live with mental health disorders. Our program focuses on teaching clients to live independently within their community. All positions provide an opportunity to make a positive difference in your community, while gaining valuable experience working in the field of Human Services. This position is located at our Naperville Group Home. The hours are Tuesday 11 : 00 am to 7 : 00 pm, Wednesday and Thursday 8 : 30 am to 4 : 30pm, Friday and Saturday 7 : 00 am to 3 : 00 pm. Responsibilities
The role of a Resident Support Specialist also involves serving as an on-site team lead under direction of an Adult Intensive Services Supervisor. Job responsibilities involve providing and coordinating day-to-day tasks necessary to support the clients and their needs in a supported setting.
Requirements
The preferred candidate will be skilled at projecting the compassion and sincerity required to establish and maintain clinical rapport with clients and responding with sound judgment even in emotional situations. Skills in educating and role modeling including money management, medication self-sufficiency, and activities of daily living are vital to success in this role.
Completion of a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field. Experience is preferred but not required. Must be 21 or over and possess a valid State of IL Driver’s License. You will be required to attend on-site paid New Hire Orientation in Wheaton from 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm.
