DuPont's Interconnect Solutions Business (ICS) is part of DuPont’s Electronics and Industrial business. Electronics and Industrial is comprised of a number of high growth global businesses supplying a broad array of materials to multiple consumer electronics and industrial sectors. Manufacturing facilities consist of polymer manufacturing, film casting, high temperature lamination and numerous converting operations such as coating, heat treatment, and extensive slitting operations. ICS is looking for a Leveraged Continuous Improvement Engineer to provide technical expertise for the various manufacturing processes noted above and lead continuous improvement projects that deliver significant improvements to the business.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the resolution of multiple, complex projects with high level of autonomy and accountability. Projects will focus on problems impacting product quality, yields, cost, or capacity of the manufacturing operations.
- Support scale-up of new products across the manufacturing sites.
- Develop technical expertise in common manufacturing processes and leverage across the sites.
- Make recommendations to Area and Technical managers to improve organizational capability and production performance.
- Mentor junior engineers to develop their technical capabilities and contributions.
- Assist with the recruiting and hiring of new engineers into the organization.
- Demonstrated expertise of mechanical and chemical processes and methodologies applicable to a manufacturing operation.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated strong teamwork and networking skills.
- Leadership capability and the ability to coach, influence and negotiate.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and a high volume workload with shifting and competing priorities.
- Demonstrated communication skills (written and oral). Flexible/motivated self-starter.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years operations or manufacturing technical experience required.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification highly preferred; Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred.
- This position may require the employee to travel 25% of the time depending on project location.
- Off hour interface and support of global project teams will be required.
