About This Role:
Durable Surfaces, a leader in concrete restoration and finishing, is seeking an experienced Foreman – Concrete Finishing to oversee and manage job sites while ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in concrete finishing, and the ability to coordinate teams to successfully complete projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of concrete repair, polishing, coatings, and surface preparation techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of tradesmen and craftsmen, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily job site activities to ensure efficiency, productivity, and compliance with deadlines.
- Perform and inspect advanced concrete finishing work, including grinding, polishing, resurfacing, and coating applications.
- Train and mentor crew members in proper finishing techniques, tool usage, and safety protocols.
- Read and interpret blueprints, job scopes, and technical documents to execute project plans accurately.
- Communicate with project managers, clients, and team members to provide updates and address any issues.
- Identify and troubleshoot surface imperfections, implementing corrective actions to maintain quality standards.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed, maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Manage job site organization, including tool maintenance, material inventory, and clean-up procedures.
- Document project progress, maintain reports, and ensure adherence to budgets and timelines.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in concrete finishing, repair, or restoration.
- Proven leadership experience in managing construction crews.
- Strong knowledge of grinding, polishing, coating applications, and surface preparation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and finish specifications.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- OSHA safety knowledge and commitment to enforcing a safe work environment.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in varying conditions.
Working Conditions:
· Nights, Overnight, and Weekends are required.
· Travel across the United States is required.
· Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
· Safety equipment must be worn at all times.
