Overview
The Electrical General Foreman will oversee all aspects of electrical construction across three buildings and a garage facility. This position requires a proactive self-starter who can effectively manage multiple crews while maintaining strict adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly supervise and coordinate all electrical teams across multiple project sites, conducting multiple daily inspections to ensure work quality and schedule compliance
- Assign crew tasks in accordance with the master project schedule and adjust workforce allocation as needed to meet deadlines
- Work collaboratively with the Project Manager while reporting directly to the Superintendent
- Generate comprehensive daily reports documenting work completed, challenges encountered, and solutions implemented
- Create and maintain accurate two-week look-ahead schedules to effectively forecast labor, material, and equipment needs
- Drive productivity by motivating electricians to complete high-quality work within strict timeline constraints
- Enforce all safety protocols and ensure complete OSHA compliance across all project sites
- Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety meetings with all electrical crews
- Verify that all electrical installations meet code requirements, project specifications, and quality standards
- Coordinate with other trades to resolve conflicts and ensure smooth workflow
- Track material deliveries and inventory to prevent project delays
- Review and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Identify potential issues before they impact the schedule and develop effective solutions
- Mentor and develop junior electricians to improve overall team performance
Qualifications
- Must possess OSHA SST supervisor card for NYC
- Licensed journeyman in NJ or master electrician license in NJ or NY
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale electrical construction projects
- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate teams to meet demanding deadlines
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Thorough knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and specifications
- Demonstrated commitment to safety excellence and quality workmanship
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
