What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight Veterinary Assistant position at Durango Animal Hospital?
Durango Animal Hospital is currently seeking a full time graveyard veterinary assistant to join our awesome team! We are a busy, 9 doctor practice specializing in small animals as well as some exotics. We are open Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm, Saturday 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Sundays 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Our overnight VA will work from close to open 3-4 nights a week.
We truly enjoy our patients and want someone who is willing to look after their best interest. The position requires computer skills, communication skills, and the ability to multitask. Potential candidates will have a genuine love and passion for animals, a stellar work ethic, be extremely motivated, a team player, and thrive in a fast paced environment. Responsibility would be caring for hospitalized patients while maintaining a clean, organized and healthy environment for the patients, clients and staff. Must feel confident administering oral medications, restraining animals, and meeting the nursing needs of hospitalized patients.
