Job Title: Harvest Team Member
Durant Vineyards, an estate winery located in the Dundee Hills AVA, is seeking a passionate individual to join our team for the 2024 harvest season. Our vineyard dates back to 1973, and we produce a variety of wines including Pinot noir, Chardonnay, Pinot gris, Sauvignon blanc, and sparkling wines.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in all aspects of wine production during the harvest season.
- Operate harvest equipment, maintain sanitation standards, and assist with wine/must movements.
- Contribute to barrel work, general winery clean-up, and cellar crew operations.
- Prioritize daily tasks for efficient time management and completion of assigned work.
- Assist with processing incoming fruit and operate winery machinery safely and effectively.
Requirements:
- Passion for wine making and commitment to quality.
- High accuracy, organization, and attention to detail, along with strong multi-tasking and time management skills.
- Self-motivation and willingness to assume additional responsibilities.
- Strong ethics and integrity, with excellent communication skills in English.
- Able to lift 50 pounds frequently and occasionally more than 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods on hard and sometimes slippery surfaces.
- Flexibility to work flexible schedules, including weekends and overtime, from mid-August to mid-October.
