We are a small, premium winery based in the Willamette Valley specializing in Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Gamay, and Syrah.
As a cellar intern at Failla Wines, you will be immersed in every aspect of our production process. We offer a fun and informative environment that provides valuable hands-on experience for those passionate about wine.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleaning equipment and facilities
- Grape receiving, sorting, and processing
- Cap Management - pigeage, punch downs, pump-overs
- Digging tanks and cleaning them
- Press operation and barrel preparation
- Barrel filling and maintenance
Qualifications:
- Commitment to safety protocols and regulations
- Pysical ability to perform demanding tasks
- Good reading, writing, and math skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Fluency in English (native or non-native)
- Reliable transportation and housing
- Authorization to work in the US or ability to obtain necessary visa
Working Conditions:
- Standing for extended periods in varying weather conditions
- Exposure to loud and potentially hazardous machinery
- Irregular working hours during peak seasons
- Extensive walking, climbing, and lifting
